Ottolenghi-Inspired Culinary in the Algarve
This sun-drenched cooking retreat, set on a riverside villa in the central Portuguese region, is inspired by the vegetarian dishes of celebrated cooks. Participants will learn to produce meze spreads, attend a hands-on falafel session, perfect mid-morning meals such as shakshuka, and make hearty mains such as spicy mushroom ragu and moussaka. There are trips to the local market and a nearby winery to sample local vintages, plus free time for walks by the nearby river, to unwind on the deck or take a dip in the pool. The accommodation, a renovated rural property, has five bedrooms, plus safari tents in the grounds.

Hip Hop in Buckinghamshire
Hip Hop Don’t Stop is an energizing, inclusive weekend dance intensive for adults in High Wycombe. The daily schedule each day is a party-style group warmup, followed by three hour-and-a-half workshops teaching different urban dance forms, then an hour-long freestyle session to demonstrate new moves. Participants are divided into groups based on skill level, so it is suitable for those who are brand new to popping and locking, right up to advanced dancers or instructors. The camp does not provide accommodation but there are several hostels and hotels nearby, and it is under an hour by train into London.

Maritime Singing Break in St Ives
St Ives is the perfect location for a maritime music retreat. Guests will learn traditional shanties from a experienced musician, and try their hand at composing original ones. Writer and lecturer Greg Mosse runs the daily workshops on this authors' getaway. He covers topics including story structure, character development, locations and suspense, to submitting work to agents. Greg’s wife, the bestselling author Kate Mosse, will co-host special sessions at the start and finish of the week. The holiday is based at a traditional complex in Vamos at the base of the White mountains – ten one- and two-bedroom cottages are set around a garden and pool (non-writing partners are encouraged to come along).
