A high-ranking Russian general has been declared dead following an detonation in Moscow, according to reports from authorities.
The incident occurred on Monday morning when an IED placed beneath a vehicle detonated, resulting in the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov.
Sarvarov was the head of the armed forces' unit responsible for operational readiness.
Investigators indicated that one theory under investigation involves the potential involvement of Ukrainian intelligence services. At this time, Ukraine has not issued a comment.
