In a surprising partnership that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
