A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can now articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started passing more hours together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "one day without joy".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a separate piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive put a restriction on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the probe.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a official listing listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".
