Incredible $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Is a Online Gaming GM's Dream
After a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore available through early December. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.
The Main Attraction
The standout feature is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.
A regional fantasy map generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.
Package Levels
Basic Package
The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
Intermediate Package
The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.
Full Package
Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle contains these components:
- Fractal Terrains 3+
- Dungeon Creation Tool
- Urban Planning Software
- Cosmic Mapping System
- Viewpoint Enhancement
- Scene Builder
- Character Artist 3
- Fantasy Interior Symbols
- Symbol Set 3: Modern
- Schley Dungeon Collection
- Schley Urban Pack
- Token Treasury: Monsters 2
- Religious Structure Maps
- World War 2 Interactive Atlas
- World Creation Guide
- Annual Volumes 1-17
- Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
- Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities
- Tome of Ultimate Mapping
- Fantasy Landscape Symbols
- Token Treasury: Monsters 1
- Fortress Source Maps
- Source Maps: Cities!
All 17 volumes from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.
Charitable Component
Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, but you can also select their donation amount in the right-hand section. There's also an donation allocation menu immediately below, allowing you to adjust the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
