Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet transporting the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The plane touched down following standard protocol and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.

This event does not mark the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to turn back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
