This young athlete maintains substantial online presence
The young golfer can count on numerous prominent supporters when she makes her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple golf courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Simply stay calm."
"He practically advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she added.
"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions recently and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the top athlete worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He suggested me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
Kai will face several the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials commented that Kai's presence exposes the sport to different demographics, particularly reaching younger fans.
The young star maintains millions of followers and has started her own clothing and lifestyle company.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
