Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be irritant spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, police said.
A young child was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
